After two weeks back in the office following our visit to Portland for Sage Sessions CRE, we hopped on the MARTA across town from our Atlanta, GA headquarters for Sage Summit Atlanta.
Having sponsored several past Sage Summit events (and attended numerous more over the years in our past life as a Sage reseller), we knew we were in for a great show, and Sage didn’t disappoint. With a turnout estimated between 1,300 – 1,400, this was the biggest Sage North America event to be held since the big blowout in Atlanta back in 2017.
With no big-name celebrity keynotes or stadium-style concerts, this event was decidedly less extravagant than Sage Summits past, but that didn’t prevent it from being a huge success from our perspective. Not having the draw of glitz and glamor meant that those who attended were there with the intent of learning how to leverage their Sage products to achieve success in their businesses (not in the hopes that they might meet one of the sharks from “Shark Tank”!).
That’s not to say that there weren’t plenty of Sage celebrities on hand. Execs present included Sage CMO Ron McMurtie, Sage North America Managing Director Nancy Harris, Sage EVP of Partners Jennifer Warawa, and Sage President Blair Crump.
The opening reception was bustling as partners and customers alike visited with the 30+ exhibitors to learn how these companies can help them improve their operations by enhancing their Sage solutions. We were right there, of course, talking with people about how we can help them put their Sage products in the cloud with our private cloud hosting solutions. In addition, Sage’s Ed Kless was on-site recording episodes for his Sage Advice Podcast, which our own Stan Kania was previously featured on (listen to the interview here).
One thing that people loved about the Sage Summits of old is the parties. The “Avalara party” has become something of a tradition over the years, so we were honored when we were presented with the opportunity to co-sponsor this epic fete alongside our friends from Avalara, Scanco, and APS Payments. The venue for Summit After Dark, Red Phone Booth, was top-notch and fit the "speakeasy" theme perfectly with their unique craft cocktails and decor. All of the attendees, including vendors and partners, had a wonderful time mingling and discussing all things Sage; and getting into the theme with 1920s-style costumes (including Eric Alexander with CIMcloud).
But it wasn’t all fun and parties. With as many as six sessions going on at any given time during the day, there was something for everyone who was interested in learning more at this year's Atlanta Summit. View the Agenda here.
Big thanks to Sage and all our partners and customers who joined us in Atlanta. It was so much fun connecting with returning and new attendees and partners. We’re proud to support the Sage ecosystem and help with the movement to help Sage users get connected to the cloud!
